Gisela M. Lindner

Gisela M. Lindner, 94, of Lopatcong Twp., NJ, passed away peacefully in the arms of our Lord on April 15, 2026 at Lopatcong Center, Lopatcong Twp., NJ. Born on August 7, 1931 in Hamburg, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Hedvig Mandel.

Gisela worked for HEW which was the historic municipal electricity utility in Hamburg, Germany, which was founded in 1894.

In 1959 she and her husband moved to the Echo Lake area of Monroe County, and from 1960 to 1964 they managed Echo Lake Farms. In 1964 they owned and operated Echo Lake Hotel and Country Club until 1976.

Gisela was a devout Catholic. She was a longtime member of Church of St. Luke, in Stroudsburg, Pa., where she was in the Women’s Guild, and sang in the choir. She enjoyed shopping and going to yard sales, but most of all she cherished spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gerd Lindner, who passed away in 1998, along with her grandson, Sean Lindner.

Gisela is survived by her children, Michael Lindner and his wife, Rhonda of Spencerville, IN, and Monika Resmondo of Largo, Fl., along with her sister, Amgot residing in Hamburg, Germany. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nicholas and Zachary Lindner, along with her great-grandson, Edward Lindner.

A gathering for family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 10 AM to 11 AM at The Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St., Phillipsburg, NJ, followed by a Memorial Service at 11 AM at the funeral home.
