Marcia Dolan Colton
Marcia Dolan Colton, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully Monday surrounded by her loving family.
Born on October 7, 1946, in Easton, Pennsylvania, Marcia was the daughter of the late Geraldine and Joseph Dolan. She was preceded in death by her three brothers Jim, Kevin, and Tom, and is survived by her sisters, Susan and Barbara.
Marcia met the love of her life, Kirk, on a blind date, beginning a love story that spanned six decades. They were married on September 2, 1967, and built a life together grounded in faith, love, laughter and devotion.
Together they raised five children: Rob (Kathy), Kris (John), Anne (Carl), Sarah (Brian), and Marybeth (Brian). She was the proud grandmother of twelve grandchildren (Trey, Abby, Jack, Meghan, Aiden, Drew, Brigid, Carl, Robbie, Ellie, Emmet and Colt) who brought her endless joy.
A woman of deep Catholic faith, Marcia was actively involved in Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Easton, serving as a lector and Eucharistic minister. Her faith guided every aspect of her life and was reflected in the kindness, compassion, service, and devotion she modeled for her children and grandchildren.
Marcia was the heart and standard bearer for her family and cherished being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She believed in keeping loved ones close, welcoming them around her table, caring for them generously, and ensuring no one left her home hungry. Her greatest legacy is the family she nurtured and the faith she passed on.
In retirement, Marcia and Kirk enjoyed traveling, often with her beloved sister Susan and husband Roger, creating treasured memories together. She was also a devoted Notre Dame football fan who rarely missed a chance to cheer on the Fighting Irish.
Marcia leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, faith, and togetherness that lives on through her children, grandchildren, and all who knew her.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she has been welcomed into the loving presence of the God she faithfully served throughout her life.
A calling hour will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 9:30 – 10:30 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 132 S. Fifth St, Easton, PA 18042, with a Funeral Mass beginning at 10:30 am at the church. The Finegan Funeral Homes of Phillipsburg & Alpha are coordinating arrangements.
