Robert Nelson Ellicott

Robert Nelson Ellicott, 75, of DeFuniak Springs Florida died on October 6, 2025.  He was the son of the late Nelson Ellicott and Marguerite Merritt Ellicott Hooper, formerly of Milford, NJ.

Bob graduated from Delaware Valley Regional High School in 1968 and Warren Institute of Technology in 1970.  He went on to serve in the United States Army from November, 1970 to August, 1973.  He was a Track Vehicle Mechanic in Vietnam.

Upon discharge from the Army, he worked as a Vehicle Mechanic at various dealerships in the Lehigh Valley until 1992.  He then relocated to Florida and began employment with the United Postal Service.  He retired from the Postal Service in 2009.

Bob continued restoring cars in his retirement years.  He loved all types of racing and occasionally got behind the wheel himself.

Bob is survived by his siblings, Russell Ellicott and spouse Sue of Evans GA, Rosemary Ellicott Benner and spouse Russell of Hellertown PA, and Randy Ellicott and spouse Eileen of Williamstown, NJ. Nieces and Nephews:  Jonathan, Matthew, Anna, and Thomas Ellicott; Catherine, Patrick and Andrew Benner; Maxine Ellicott.

Services will be held graveside on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 11:00 am, St. Phillips and St. James Cemetery, 519 US Route 22, Phillipsburg, NJ. The Finegan Funeral Homes of Phillipsburg & Alpha are coordinating arrangements.
