Daniel James Boyle

Daniel James Boyle, 86, of Forks Twp., Pa., ‘Danny Boy” went home to be with our Lord on Monday, May 25, 2026. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family, laughter, tears and his favorite Irish music.

He was born on October 6, 1939 in Phillipsburg, NJ, a son of the late Patrick and Anna Shields Boyle, originally from Ireland. Danny was employed for many years with Ingersol-Rand as a financial controller. Later on in life he was a Friday night football sports announcer for WEST Radio Station, and then worked at Riverview Country Club.

Danny loved sports he played basketball, baseball and football in high school and later on in life he coached youth football and baseball. He was a graduate of St. Philip and St. James High School Class of 1957. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, enjoyed golfing, but most of all he was proud of his Irish heritage.

He is survived by his loving wife Janice Heath Boyle, his children, Lori Wehr and her husband James of Nazareth, Pa., and Daniel James Boyle, Jr., and his partner Anne Schwartz of Little Egg Harbor, NJ. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Ryan Boyle, Jaime Wehr and Jacob Wehr.

A viewing will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026 from 10 AM to 12 Noon at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave., Palmer Twp., Pa., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon. Interment will then take place at The Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp., PA.
