Ray McIntosh

Born in Phillipsburg, NJ Ray passed away peacefully on December 5, 2024.  He was the son of the late Harry and Mary Ennis McIntosh. Ray grew up in Easton’s Southside and spent most of his life in Easton, Palmer and Bethlehem Twps. He graduated from Easton High School, served in the Korean War and graduated from Lafayette College in 1958 with a degree in economics. Ray was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bethlehem Twp.

Ray married Sylvia Greenamoyer on September 10, 1960, in Easton Pa. They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary this year.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by son Brian (Lynnette), grandson Costner (Alli), great grandson Jude, granddaughter Sierra (Mollie), daughter Erin (Jason Besz) and son Scott who predeceased him.

Ray’s career of 40 years in the local commercial banking industry for multiple banks, put him in contact with many of Easton’s businesses. He was a hard working individual with a very keen sense of humor. He was probably best known for working for Easton National Bank Trust Company (ENBT) in Center Square.

He was involved with many local Charities and Organizations including Two Rivers Area Chamber of Commerce, United Way, Rotary Club, American Red Cross, Downtown Bethlehem Assoc., Episcopal Film Committee, Northampton County Tourist Bureau, Boy Scouts of America, Catholic Charities Appeal, Shilo Baptist Church, Family YMCA, Lafayette College and the State Theatre.

Ray and Sylvia loved to travel and spent time at the Jersey Shore, New York, San Diego and Europe. They also loved fine dining, concerts, movies and Broadway shows. He was very proud of his Irish and Scottish heritage and was recognized at the fine cocktail and dinning establishments in the Lehigh Valley.

He was an avid sports fan including Easton High School, Lafayette Basketball and the Philadelphia professional teams. Ray’s hobbies included hiking at Hawk Mountain, swimming in the ocean, reading and watching movies including winning an award for picking the Oscar winners. His favorite actor was Humphrey Boggart.

Ray enjoyed summer breezes, moonlit nights and Strawberries. Please raise a glass of Guiness and a shot of Tellamore Dew to Ray McIntosh!
