Elizabeth J. Boice

Elizabeth J. Boice, 95, of Pohatcong Township, NJ, passed away on October 7, 2026, at home.  Born on February 11, 1931, in Alpha, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Mary and Attilio Barbadora.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Boice.  Elizabeth was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School and was subsequently employed at Ingersoll Rand, where she met her future husband.  They were married for 58 years.  She was a lifetime member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Alpha, where she belonged to the St. Mary Santuary Guild.  She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, embroidery and ceramics.

Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Robert W. (Troyann) Boice of Charlotte, NC, Thomas (Marisa) Boice of Greenwich Township, NJ; Grandchildren, Jordan (Pam), Meredith, Kyle and Audrey, and several nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth was also predeceased by her brother, Frank Barbadora, and her sister, Anna Montesi.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Elizabeth’s caretakers who provided her with loving care in the last years of her life: Neli, Maria and Brenda, and her nursing staff, including Diane and Sabina.

Calling will be held on Monday, October 12, 2026, at the Finegan Funeral Home, 924 Second Avenue, Alpha, NJ, from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m.  A Funeral Mass will follow at 10 am at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 830 Fifth Avenue, Alpha, NJ.  Entombment will at St. Mary Mausoleum in Alpha.
