Thomas A. Dugey, Sr.

Thomas A. Dugey, Sr., 93, of Phillipsburg, NJ passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August 22, 2026 at his home. He was born on May 9, 1933 in Asbury, NJ, a son of the late Joseph and Catherine Stull Dugey.

Thomas worked as a crane operator with Ingersol-Rand for 35 years. He then worked for Walter A Smith in Riegelsville as a small engine machine repairman, lastly, he worked for Opdyke’s Sales and Service as a maintenance worker.

Tom was a member of Blessed Hope church of the Nazarene, Phillipsburg, NJ.

Tom loved his vacations at the shore, enjoyed riding in his 1957 Chevy, and attending parades with his car. He was a member of the Huntington Fire Co., Safety First, W. Easton, Citizen Hose, Easton, Y.M.I.A. Club in Phillipsburg, NJ, Tom cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, loved to tell stories and could tell a good joke or two.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lyle Shiller Dugey, along with his three brothers, his sister and his son-in-law, Bruce Weller, Sr.

He is survived by his loving children; Pamela Kutzler and her husband, Floyd “Bob”, Jr., Brenda Congilio and her husband Frank, Jr., Thomas A. Dugey, Jr, and his wife Shirley of Phillipsburg, Debbie Weller of Phillipsburg, and Lori Dugey and her Fiancée Jason. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 9:00AM to 11:00AM at The Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St., Phillipsburg, NJ, followed by a Funeral Service at 11AM in the funeral home. Entombment will then take place at the Northampton Memorial Shrine Mausoleum, Palmer Twp., PA.
