Gerald (Jerry) Pandolfi
Gerald (Jerry) Pandolfi passed away peacefully at home on Monday August 10, 2026. Born to Tersilio (John) and Nellie Pandolfi in Easton, PA on December 15, 1944, Jerry grew up in Alpha, NJ. He was proud of his Italian heritage and enjoyed the family connection between Alpha and Corinaldo, Italy. He attended St. Mary Elementary School. He was a member of the first graduating class of Phillipsburg Catholic High School in 1962. He served as the Student Council President, played football and baseball and had the lead role in the play. Jerry received his bachelor’s degree from King’s College. He maintained lifelong friendships with his childhood, high school and college classmates. He considered himself blessed to have received an education that was based on his faith. Jerry spent 40 years working for the Warren County Probation Department and later the State of NJ Judiciary. After retiring, Jerry continued his passion and commitment to serving others. He was awarded Citizen of the Year by the Phillipsburg Chamber of Commerce. He was past president of the Phillipsburg Rotary Club where he received two Paul Harris Fellow Awards and in 2023 was recognized for founding the annual Rotary Corks and Forks fundraiser. He was an active life-long member of St. Mary Church.
Jerry had a zest for life, loved to have fun, cared about everyone he met and lived every moment to the fullest. He loved traveling to Europe and in the United States. Wherever he went, he encountered people he knew. He was always laughing. He turned simple moments into a party. Even during his illness, those who met him for the first time commented on how handsome he was and his easy-going personality. His kindness always overshadowed his good looks. He lived a life that mattered and although he will be deeply missed, we have hope that because he died in the faith of Jesus, we will see him again.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Sharon (Breckenridge), sister, Elise Pandolfi, father-in-law, Robert, sister-in-law, Laura, niece, Emyline, cousins and friends.
I Thessalonians 3:13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 5 – 7 pm at the Finegan Funeral Home at 924 2nd Avenue in Alpha, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 850 5th Avenue, also in Alpha. The interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Phillipsburg Rotary or Sts. Philip and James School Scholarship Fund.
