Kathleen M. Jones
Kathleen M. Jones passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026 at Advanced Healthcare of Hanover in Bethlehem, PA.
She was a lifelong resident of Phillipsburg, NJ, born on August 10, 1927 to the late George and Mary McCann. She was a graduate of Phillipsburg Catholic High School and had a long career in banking at the former Phillipsburg Trust Company and later retired from AT&T in Bedminster, NJ. Her interests included Broadway performances, ceramics, collecting fine china and glassware, as well as any and all types of holiday decor. She was extremely proud of her Irish heritage and St. Patrick’s Day was a favorite holiday. Kathleen served on the Women’s Auxiliary of the former Warren Hospital for over fifty years and was recognized for that accomplishment by St. Luke’s Warren Hospital.
Survivors include her son Gary Jones and his wife Judy, grandsons Dennis Jones, Alex Jones and wife Amber and Sam Jones and wife Crystal along with five great grandchildren, all in Ohio.
She is survived locally by her devoted great nieces and great nephews Sandy and Bill Cray of Bethlehem, PA, Bob and Fran Osborne of Milford, NJ and Colleen and Paul McGee of Allentown, PA and their families.
She was predeceased by her parents and two sisters, Virginia Mooney and Marie Kohl, both of Phillipsburg, NJ.
There will be a calling hour at Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman Street in Phillipsburg on Tuesday, March 31st, 2026, from 12:30 – 1:30 pm with a Funeral Service beginning at 1:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery in Phillipsburg, NJ.
