Ileen Lois Dukett-Osborne-Brion
Ileen Lois Dukett-Osborne-Brion, of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, daughter of the late Maude and William Dukett, was born December 14, 1926, in Middlebury, Vermont.
She worked for many years as a school bus driver, retiring after twenty-two years of service. Prior to that, she worked at the former Warren Hospital as an aide and X-ray technician and also worked at the New York Transformer dispensary in Alpha, New Jersey.
Ileen was a devoted member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she served as an elder. She was also a member of AARP and Sunny Seniors and served as the Sunny Seniors program champion.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Ronald Osborne, and her second husband, Claude Brion. She was also predeceased by a sister and three brothers.
She is survived by her three children: Michael Osborne and wife Ilona; Donna Hamlin and her late husband Dennis Hamlin; and Sharon Hardy and companion Walt Sprague. She is also survived by two stepchildren, Cathy Hill and Donald Brion.
Ileen had four grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Affectionately known to many as “Mama Oz,” Ileen was a caring and welcoming presence to countless friends and extended family members who came to know and love her by that name.
A Calling hour will be held Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 10 – 11 am at the Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman Street in Phillipsburg, NJ, followed by a Memorial Service at 11 am at the funeral home.
