Salvatore “Tootie” Giamoni

Salvatore “Tootie” Giamoni, 96, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Abington Manor, Easton, PA.

Sal lived his entire life in Phillipsburg, NJ and was the son of the late Antonio and Sebastiana Giamoni. He was the loving husband of Irene Hanisak Giamoni, for 77 years.

He retired from Ingersol-Rand after 37 years. After retirement he and Irene travelled the world by land, sea, and air. They made many friends along the way. Sal loved the beach and being outside in the sun. Sal graduated from Phillipsburg High School, Class of 1949. He was a member of St. Philip & St. James Roman Catholic Church.

Sal’s greatest joy was spending time with his loving wife and family. He is survived by his wife Irene, children; Thomas, Deborah (George), Audrey (Kevin), Janice (Steve), Jeffrey (Penny), seven grandchildren; Erica, Mark, Kevin, Ryan, Jacqueline, Justin and Isabella, and eight great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 9 – 11 am at the Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman Street in Phillipsburg, followed by a Funeral Service at the funeral home, beginning at 11 am. The Entombment will be at the Holy Apostles Mausoleum in Greenwich Township, NJ.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Sal’s memory to the American Cancer Society or the PHS Garnet Booster Club.
