Roger Brian Crowell-Nugent

Roger Brian Crowell-Nugent, 58, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away at home on December 5, 2025.

Born on April 4, 1967, in Belleville, NJ, he was the son of Gail S. Nugent, with whom he resided, and the late Roger Brian Crowell, Sr. Roger was also lovingly raised by his late stepfather, Robert F. Nugent, who adopted him as a young child.

Roger is survived by his mother, Gail S. Nugent; his brother, Michael Nugent, of Bethlehem, PA; and his sister, Cynthia Kish, and her husband, Scott, of Lower Saucon Township, PA. He also leaves behind his niece Alexis DiIorio, and nephews Teddy Celaschi and Zachary Nugent; as well as Lauren Crowell-Nugent, of Phillipsburg.

Roger spent many years working as a caretaker on a horse farm, a role perfectly suited to his quiet strength and dependable nature. Earlier in life, he proudly served as a Park Ranger. Outside of work, Roger enjoyed playing computer-based war games, and he will be missed not only by his family but also by the community of friends he made online.

Interment will take place on January 31, 2026, at Arlington Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ, where Roger will be laid to rest alongside his father. Details regarding the service will be announced at a later date.
