Edna P. Brodt

Edna P. Brodt, 91, of Lopatcong Twp., NJ, passed away on December 6, 2024, at Lopatcong Care Center.

She was born on April 22, 1933 in Harmony Twp., NJ, a daughter of the late John and Verna May Fritchman VanScoten.

Edna was employed with the Lopatcong School in the cafeteria for many years and then worked at the former Alice Kay which became Fashion Bug in the Hillcrest Mall in her later years.

She enjoyed traveling, going to the casino and cooking and baking for her family.

In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her first husband, Wayne A. Richline, Sr. and her second husband, Robert Brodt, along with her siblings, Gertrude Kienzle, Stella Young, Verna Nuttal, John, Mack and William VanScoten.

Edna is survived by her children; Robin Napoli and her husband, Wayne of Williams Twp., Wayne A. Richline, Jr., and his wife Lisa of North Carolina, Randy Richline and his wife Lauri of Bath, Pa., and Dodie Wedo of Harmony Twp, NJ. She is also survived by her siblings, Edward VanScoten of Montana, and Elizabeth Holod of Harmony Twp., NJ, along with 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. in the Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St., Phillipsburg, NJ, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 A.M. Interment will follow at the Fairmount Cemetery, Phillipsburg, NJ.
