Ronald “Ron” W. Turchi

Ronald “Ron” W. Turchi, 85, of Allentown, Pa., and formerly of Alpha, NJ, passed away peacefully February 16, 2026.

The devoted son of the late Americo “Rick” and Lena (Piperato) Turchi, Ron was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him. He spent most of his professional career as a dynamic salesman for AEP Industries in both Moonachie, NJ and Mountain Top, Pennsylvania. He was well-loved and respected by co-workers and customers alike who quickly learned they couldn’t say no to his charming personality.

He was a 1959 graduate of Phillipsburg High School where he played both basketball and baseball. Following high school, he attended Rider College where he continued his baseball career.

Ron was a former Alpha Borough Councilman, an AYAA football and baseball coach, bartender at the John Dolak American Legion and an avid bowler in the Warren Lanes bowling league. He also served as the President of the Phillipsburg Jaycees where he gained a group of life-long friends who soon became known as “The Can.” This group and their families spent years celebrating special occasions and traveling together.

Ron was a faithful fan of Phillipsburg High School Stateliner sports, Philadelphia Eagles, New York Yankees and Notre Dame football. He was extremely proud of his Italian heritage which led to his love of all foods, especially his favorite soup “passate.”

He is survived by his loving wife, Rocio (Munoz) Turchi, daughters Lynette Knoble and husband Jim, Kristin Price and husband Troy, Heather Eckhardt and partner, Darren Wyckoff, step-son Danny Suarez, grandchildren James Knoble and wife Andi, Joshua and Jacob Knoble, Chase Price, Frankie, Nicholas and Cierra Eckhardt and Adriana Suarez, Great-grandsons Jaime and Denver Knoble, sister Rosemarie Minotti, former wife Carol McGuire Turchi, and several cousins, nephews and nieces.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Finegan Funeral Home at 924 2nd Avenue, Alpha, NJ with a service beginning at 12:00pm at the funeral home. Visit www.fineganfh.com.
