Sylvia R. McIntosh

Sylvia R. McIntosh, of Easton, PA, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026.  Born in Lehighton, PA on June 23, 1937, Sylvia was the wife of the late Raymond H. McIntosh, who passed on December 5, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Alma (Miller) Greenamoyer and the late Gerald Greenamoyer. Also preceded by sisters Judith (Judy) Fatzinger and Geri Williams.

Sylvia married Ray on September 10, 1960, in Easton, Pa. They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary in 2024.

She is survived by son Brian (Lynnette), grandson Costner (Alli), great grandsons Jude & Leo granddaughter Sierra (Mollie), daughter Erin (Jason Besz) and son Scott who predeceased her.

Sylvia graduated from Lehighton High School class of 1955 and St. Lukes School of Nursing class of 1958. She spent most of her working years with the Visiting Nurses Association of Easton. Sylvia was also involved in reunions with her nursing classmates.

As a young married woman Sylvia was involved in many community activities in Easton including the YMCA, Head Start, Easton Hospital, the cancer society and the Junior Woman’s Club.

Sylvia and Ray loved to travel and spent time at the Jersey Shore, New York, San Diego and Europe. They also loved fine dining, concerts, movies and Broadway shows. She was very proud wife to Ray and was recognized at the fine cocktail and dining establishments in the Lehigh Valley.

Sylvia enjoyed summer breezes, chocolate martinis, Crab Imperial, Wegmans Butter Boy cookies, Live Flowers, HGTV, butter, Scholls peaches & corn and decorating for all the holidays.  Please raise a glass of your favorite beverage to Sylvia McIntosh!

Sylvia and Ray were avid readers and supported libraries. Sylvia was always interested in helping children enjoy reading. In lieu of flowers it is requested that an appropriate donation be made to “Mary Meuser Memorial Library” 1803 Northampton St. Easton, PA 18042. Please put McIntosh Books in the memo section. These funds will be used to purchase children’s books and help support children’s programs.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the family’s convenience.

The Finegan Funeral Homes of Phillipsburg & Alpha are coordinating arrangements.
