Michael (Mike) Sovorsky
Michael (Mike) Sovorsky, 70, of Bethlehem, PA, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at his residence in Bethlehem, PA. Born June 16, 1955, in Bethlehem, PA, he was the son of the late Michael B. Sovorsky and the late Florence (Baran) Sovorsky.
Mike was a loving, devoted family man. He never missed a milestone in his children and grandchildren’s lives. Being a father and grandfather was his world. After retirement, he was a dedicated coach for the Nazareth Area Middle School football team, nicknamed “Coach Mike the G.O.A.T.” by his players. Many Nazareth High School alumni and students saw him as their own grandfather, calling him “Gramps.” He truly touched every person he had a conversation with. In Mike’s younger years, he was a member of the million-mile club as a tractor trailer driver. Mike loved music, even being a lighting technician for the band, Shotgun Wedding. He loved going to concerts and seeing live music, specifically anything Pink Floyd related.
Mike is survived by his wife Theresa (Sager) Sovorsky with whom he shared 29 years of marriage; by his children, Tiffany Lapp; husband Jesse Lapp, Daniel Abel; wife Brittany Abel, Jaret Leggett; wife Erika Leggett, Sarah Browne, and Jessica Trilli; and by his 11 beloved grandchildren, Jadon, Gavin, Bella, Owen, Julian, Joey, Lincoln, Jackson, Jameson, Bennett, and Elleia. Mike was a great-grandfather to Eris Browne. He is also survived by his brother, Robert (Bob) Sovorsky.
