Jennie A. DeStefano
Jennie A. DeStefano, 96, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on March 31st, 2026, at Complete Care at Brakeley Park in Lopatcong Township, NJ.
Born July 8, 1929, in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles Attinello and Bessie Ballato Attinello. She was also predeceased by her husband, the late Aldo DeStefano, who passed in 2016.
She was a life-long member of St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church in Phillipsburg and was a talented seamstress and cook. Jennie was a graduate of St. Philip & St. James High School and had worked at various garment mills in the area when younger.
Survivors are her daughters; Cynthia McGinley and husband Shawn, and Patti Sciascia and husband Bob. Grandchildren are Colin, Griffin and Alan McGinley as well as Alaina and Matthew Sciascia. Jennie is also survived by two sisters; Rosalie Wright and Theresa Cuvo. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by a brother, Salvatore Attinello, and sisters; Josephine Phillips, Mildred Grassi, and Bessie Attinello.
A Funeral Mass and interment were held privately and were under the direction of the Finegan Funeral Homes of Phillipsburg & Alpha.
