Dennis Howard Hamlin
Dennis Howard Hamlin, 77, of Finesville, NJ passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 27, 2025 with his loving wife, Donna by his side. He was born September 13, 1948 in Phillipsburg, NJ to Edward and Rebecca Hamlin. A gifted athlete in high school, Dennis served his country in the Army during Vietnam as a combat infantryman. A 1974 graduate of Kutztown University, Dennis would spend his career as a master carpenter for productions of stage and screen in New York City as a member of the Local 1 union.
He was a visual artist with an exacting eye for detail, and a natural talent for bringing ideas to life in the world around him. He loved fishing and the outdoors, and never missed a chance to enjoy the small, quiet moments in life that others may have missed.
Preceded in death by his parents and brother Barry, he is survived by his wife Donna, brothers Edward and Allen, sons Cody and Dane, their wives, his grandson James, many nieces and nephews, step-children Katie and Phil, their spouses, and his step-grandchildren, Jacob, Liza, and Ryder.
Internment services will be held at the Greenwich Cemetery, Greenwich Township, NJ, on Monday, January 5th, 2026, at 10 a.m. The Finegan Funeral Homes of Phillipsburg & Alpha are coordinating arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Dennis Hamlin at the Gary Sinise Foundation.
