Assunta “Sue” Angelozzi
Assunta “Sue” Angelozzi, 92, of Stewartsville, NJ, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on October 26, 2025. She was born on August 15, 1933 in New Village, NJ, a daughter of the late Alfonso and Maria Nappi Montuori. Sue worked for many years at the Blue Army Shrine as a secretary.
Sue was a lifelong member of St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg, NJ, she was a member of the Red Hat Society, over 50’s club, Catholic Daughters and the Phillipsburg Chapter of AARP.
She and her husband Dominick celebrated 68 years of marriage on September 21, 1957. Sue enjoyed shopping, and cherished time spent with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and also her friends.
She was predeceased by her son in law, Michael Eastman.
Sue is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Dominick, her children; Donna Lewis and her husband Rusty of Forks Twp., Pa., Marianne Eastman of Palmer Twp., Pa., and Sharon Zakashefski and her husband Daniel of Middlesex, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tara, Shea, Brielle and Bailee, along with 5 great-grandchildren.
A calling hour will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 9 AM to 10 AM in St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church, 430 S. Main St., Phillipsburg, NJ, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10AM. Interment will follow at St. Philip & St. James Cemetery, Greenwich Twp., NJ.
