Beverly Ann Smith

Beverly Ann Smith, 75, of Harmony Township, NJ, passed away on October 13, 2025, in Phillipsburg, NJ.

Born in Phillipsburg on February 10, 1950, Bev was the daughter of the late Robert and Marjorie (Rush) Warner. She was a proud graduate of Phillipsburg High School, Class of 1968.

Bev was married to Richard Smith for 28 years before his passing in 2023. Together, they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and friendship.

Bev was funny, witty, and full of life — the kind of person who could light up a room. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures: the scent of fresh flowers from her garden, a cup of coffee shared with friends, an afternoon spent painting, or the satisfaction of a spotless kitchen and a well-tended yard. She loved decorating for every holiday, finding the perfect greeting card for every occasion, and spoiling her dog, Millie, who rarely left her side.

Bev cherished her children and grandchildren beyond measure. Her greatest joy came from her family, and she took immense pride in being part of their lives — cheering them on, bragging about them to anyone who would listen, and showing them in countless ways just how deeply they were loved.

She is survived by her children, Jennifer Segreaves and husband Steven, and Jason Lee and his wife Misti Linaberry; her stepdaughter, Stephanie Smith; and her grandchildren, Natalee Macpherson and husband Nolan, Maggie Segreaves and her boyfriend, Sean Myers, and Cooper Segreaves. She also leaves behind her loving sisters, Carol Piazza and her husband George, and Diane Scotchlas and her husband Eugene, and their respective families, as well as her son and daughter-in-law’s many beloved animals — horses, cats, and other “furry grandbabies” — that she adored.

Bev will be remembered for her humor, her honesty, and the light she brought to everyone around her. She had a big personality, a kind heart, and a spirit that made the world more colorful for all who knew her.

A celebration of Bev’s life will be at Tipton’s Tavern, Harmony, NJ, on November 6th from 6-9.  The Finegan Funeral Homes of Phillipsburg & Alpha are coordinating arrangements. Visit www.fineganfh.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice in Bev’s memory.
