Sandra Lee (Pizzari) Burkhart

Sandra Lee (Pizzari) Burkhart, 78, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Lopatcong Care Center, Lopatcong Twp., NJ.

Born on September 19, 1947 in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Maria Antoinette (Piperata) Pizzari and Philip Pizzari. She was a graduate of Phillipsburg Catholic High School. Sandra was employed by the Ingersoll-Rand Co. and the Hallmark Co. in Johnstown, PA., and St. Augustine, Fl. She was always a kind and generous person, she enjoyed volunteering at St. Benedict Grade School and Bishop McCort High School in Johnstown, PA.

She was an avid fan of James Bond movies and John Grisham novels, and a loyal follower of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Sandra is survived by her son, Chad Burkhart, of Pittsburgh, PA, sisters, Fran Martin and her husband Ken of Fort Mill, SC, Ann Marie Hanes of Monroe, NC, a nephew, niece and a great-niece and nephew.

The family of Sandra Burkhart would like to thank Compassionate Care Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Sandra during her final journey.
