Joseph Bellino III

Joseph Bellino III, 71, of Alpha, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on July 23, 2025.

Born October 14, 1953, at Camp Kilmer in New Brunswick, NJ, Joe was the son of the late Joseph Bellino Jr. and his wife, Ruth Bellino (Conklin).

Joe was known for his Elvis-like voice and appearance and would entertain his family and friends for hours, singing and playing his guitar. He shared his gift with others by teaching friends how to play the guitar. Joe also enjoyed putting together old war model airplanes and tanks and playing cards. As a younger man, he would work on cars and computers. He was an incredibly strong man. He worked for the Township of Springfield and later as a Chemical Engineer for Engelhard for over 20 years before early retirement. He was a tough Union man and Shop Steward for many years. Joe will be remembered for his contagious laugh and jolly spirit. Before becoming ill, Joe would always be seen smoking his cigarettes and enjoying a good cup of coffee. He was proud of his accomplishment of buying a home in Alpha for him and his wife, where they would live the rest of their lives together. His door was always open to anyone in need or just for a visit to share a cup of coffee or a meal.

Joe is survived by his wife and caretaker of 53 years, Cheryl Bellino (Burlew). Cheryl has been a dedicated and loving wife who cared for him every day since they met. His loving children also survive him, Dawn LaRosa and longtime friend Daniel of Kenilworth, NJ and their children Vito and Ella, Kelly Bellino of Kenilworth and her son Alexander Lutz and Joseph Bellino IV, his wife Nicole and their children, Carmella, and Joseph V. He is also survived by his devoted brother Anthony Bellino and his wife Lynne and their children Anthony Jr, Christopher, Denise and Barbara of South Carolina and brother Patrick Bellino and his children Donna, Sandy, Patrick, Andrew, Edith and Daniel of Pennsylvania as well as an aunt, many cousins, nieces, nephews and In-Laws.

A celebration of life will be held in October. The Finegan Funeral Homes of Phillipsburg & Alpha are coordinating arrangements.
