Blanche Henshaw Lampp
Blanche Henshaw Lampp passed away peacefully at the Genesis Lopatcong Care Center on July 16, 2025 at the age of 98. The family is grateful to the staff at the Center who cared for her so lovingly since last September.
She was born on July 30, 1926 to Daniel and Julia Ehasz Nemeth in Alpha.
She graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1943. She was employed by N Y Transformer, Ingersoll Rand, Phillipsburg Mills and the John Dolak Post in Alpha. She also worked for ten years for the Duval County School Board in Jacksonville, Florida where she resided for 28 years.
She was married to Harry Henshaw from 1946 until his death in 1974. She later married Lester Lampp and lived in Florida until after his death. She was predeceased by her parents and her two husbands as well as a daughter-in-law Jean Henshaw. Her brothers Julius, Donald, Arnold, Alex and Charlie also predeceased her.
She is survived by her brother Frank of Michigan and her children, Charles (Suzanne), Donna Erickson (Carl), James and Jamie. She has two step-daughters: Sandra Carroll (Ronald) and Gail Webb (Joe) of Florida and their families. She has six grandchildren (Christine Baldwin, Anne Feeney, Julie Marino, Kelly Henshaw, Carl Erickson and Matthew Erickson) and nine great grandchildren (Andrew, Isabella, Liliana, Josie, Eliza, Connor, Keira, Charlie and Harry). She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be missed by her family.
She was a fundraiser for the Phillipsburg Emergency Squad in the late 60’s and 70’s; a member of the Alpha Legion, the Alpha Area Women’s Club, the Phillipsburg Senior Center and the Golden Age of St. Mary’s. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Alpha, NJ for many years.
Her viewing will be held on Monday, July 21, 2025 from 6 until 8 pm at the Finegan Funeral Home, 924 2nd Ave, Alpha, NJ 08865. Funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 10am, Tuesday, July 22, 2025. She will be interred in the Alpha Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Visit www.fineganfh.com.
