Salvatore Vincent Minichini

Salvatore Vincent Minichini, 91, of Belvidere, NJ, passed away on April 16, 2025 at his home.

He was born on September 3, 1933 in Port Chester, New York a son of the late Joseph and Lucille Sabia Minichini. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.

Sal was a retired New York City Internal Affairs Police Officer. He also was a retired Chief of Police in Bethlehem Township, NJ.  Sal was a photographer taking portraits of famous people and photographing horse shows.

He enjoyed gardening, cooking, pen art, and was a devout Catholic. Sal adored his wife and enjoyed the times spent with his entire family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Domenica Dalton, Marguerite Berzolla and Vito Minichini.

He is survived by his loving wife, Eileen Crawford Minichini, his children, Joan Fasanello and her husband John of Bloomsbury, NJ, Loren Hunsicker and her husband Michael of Easton, Pa., and Christin Minichini of Alpha, NJ. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren; Teresa, John, Elizabeth, Frances, Kevin, Andrea, Brian and Eric, along with his great-grandchildren, James, Maggie, Bridget, Annemarie and Annalucia.

Friends and Family are invited to a viewing on Monday, April 21, 2025 from 5 PM to 7 PM at The Finegan Funeral Home, 924 2nd Ave., Alpha, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 10AM at St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church, 430 S. Main St. Phillipsburg, NJ. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Clinton, NJ., with Military Honors.
