Kay Ann Sprowl

Kay Ann Sprowl, 76, previously of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem, PA. Kay was born February 13, 1949 in Phillipsburg, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Robert Reitenauer and the late Ruth (Meiley) Reitenauer. She graduated from Phillipsburg High School, Class of 1967. Kay retired from DePaolis Chiropractic Center where she worked as a receptionist for many years. She enjoyed extensive travel with her husband William (Bub) in their motor home “Yota” and she loved the camping trips they took with their daughters and grandchildren, especially to Assateague, MD. She cherished her family and all the time they spent together. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed searching through magazines for new recipes to try. Kay was fond of reading murder mysteries and romance novels. She liked watching the birds that visited the feeder outside her windows, enjoyed gardening and was especially proud of her roses and hydrangeas. Kay’s husband of 54 years William (Bub) Sprowl passed away in 2022. She will be missed by daughters: Christine Slack of Phillipsburg, NJ, Stephanie Sprowl-Trimmer (Shawn) of Hellertown, PA, grandchildren: Gage Trimmer of Altamonte Springs, FL, Emily Slack of Phillipsburg, NJ, Ethan Trimmer of Hellertown, PA, great grandchildren: Levi and Lily Trimmer, siblings: Sandra Esposito, Carol Piperata, Tommie Reitenauer and Lori Gischel. The Finegan Funeral Home, Phillipsburg, NJ, has been entrusted with her arrangements. In keeping with Kay’s wishes, there will be no formal service.
