Dorothy Nellie Perio, 89, of Wilson Borough, passed peacefully in the home that she shared with her beloved family on March 24, 2025. She was so excited to spend the remainder of her life with her great niece Jessica Fenon and her husband Rich, as well as their 5 children, Richard, Matthew, Vailyn, Laina, and Maeven Fenon, who she loved deeply.

Born on May 25th, 1935, she was the last of 8 children born of the late Christopher and Antoinette Mirenda Perio of Phillipsburg, NJ, with whom she resided for half her life. She is predeceased in death by brothers Anthony, Thomas, Frances, Joseph, and Samuel Perio, and sisters Marietta Corriere and Mary Stem of California.

Graduating in 1952 from Phillipsburg High School, she worked as an employee of JT Baker Chemical until her retirement after many years of dedicated service. She was a much loved daughter, sister, and friend, and an even more revered aunt to countless nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She spent her lifetime in the service of her family and friends, always providing them with comfort and care whenever they needed her. She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love that will never be forgotten.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, too abundant to name, that will be forever impacted by her legacy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman Street in Phillipsburg, NJ, with a funeral service beginning at the funeral home at 2:00 pm.  The interment will follow at St. Philip & St. James Cemetery in Greenwich Township, NJ.
