Stanley S. Szela
Stanley S. Szela, 86, of Pohatcong Township, NJ, passed away on February 25, 2025, at St. Luke’s, Warren Campus.
Born November 25, 1938, in Kingston, PA, he was the son of the late Stanley Szela and Josephine Quarda Szela.
Serving in the United States Air Force, he would go on to work for Ortho Pharmaceutical in Raritan, NJ. He then went to Lincoln Tech for drafting, and retired from Victaulic in Easton, PA. He enjoyed gardening, painting, and photography, as well as home improvement and remodeling. Stanley attended the Alpha Mennonite Church.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Webb Szela, celebrating 66 years married this past Valentine’s Day, and children; Linda McNally and husband Larry and Stephen and wife Joni. His grandchildren are Crystalblue Parshall and Josh, Eldy McNally, and Travis McNally and Carrie, as well as great grandchildren, Zoie, Zackary, Jacob, and Mathias. Mr. Szela is also survived by brothers, Edward Szela and wife Nancy and Ronald Szela. Lastly, he is survived by his loyal, four-legged companion, Teddy.
A calling hour will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Finegan Funeral Home at 924 2nd Avenue in Alpha, NJ, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am at the funeral home. The interment will be at the Northampton Memorial Shrine in Palmer Township.
