Michael Robert Kolba
Michael Robert Kolba, 83, of Bloomsbury, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on December 15, 2024.
He was born on August 28, 1941 in Plainfield, NJ, a son of the late Michael R. and Mabel Bauer Kolba.
Michael was a United States Navy Veteran. He was a printer at the Couriers News with the Dunellen Typographical Union #157 for 42 years.
He is currently a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg, NJ. Previously he spent many years serving on church council and as chairman of the Property Committee at St. James Lutheran Church also in Phillipsburg, NJ.
He was a member of the Phillipsburg Pistol Club, and the Easton Fish and Game. Michael enjoyed taking care of his property and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed going on cruises with his wife.
He is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth Godown Kolba, his children; Desiree C. Tomasco of Newtown Square, Pa., Michael M. Kolba of Clinton Twp., NJ, and Simone M. Rosetti of Phillipsburg, NJ. He is also survived by his sisters, Gail Case of Rhode Island and Roxanne M. Kolba of Basking Ridge, NJ, along with 6 grandchildren.
A calling hour will be held from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. on Friday, December 20, 2024 at The Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St. Phillipsburg, NJ, followed by a Memorial Service at 11 in the funeral home.
