Stephen (Steve) G. Wallo, 87, of Easton, PA, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Born June 20, 1937, in Northampton PA, he was the son of the late John G Wallo and Anna Brosky Wallo Stettler.  Stephen was married to Kathryn Hicks Wallo, with whom he celebrated 61 years of marriage, until her passing in 2023.

He was a graduate of Northampton HS and served his country in the US Air Force, being stationed in Texas, DC, Alaska and Massachusetts.

Stephen was a plumber for 56 years; He owned and operated Wallo’s Plumbing & Heating for 36 of those years. Retiring at the age of 75.

Stephen was a member of Our Lady of Mercy for 61 years where he served as Eucharistic Minister, Alter Server and many other ministries.  Stephen was one of the founding members of the Forks Emergency Squad.  Stephen lived his life by 2 sets of words.  “if we can’t help each other out, what good are we” and then “for better-for worse” were how he and his wife lived their marriage.

Stephen cherished his family & friends. They were his world.

Survivors are daughters Diane L. Wallo and Joan W. Markus (Kevin Koches) and grandson Louis S. Markus as well as 5 nephews, 4 nieces and their families.  Stephen is predeceased by a sister Rita Roman and brother John Wallo.

A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church at 132 S. 5th Street in Easton, PA, with a Funeral Mass beginning at 10:30. The interment will be at the Northampton Memorial Shrine in Palmer Township. The Finegan Funeral Homes of Phillipsburg & Alpha are coordinating arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.
