Georgia A. Evans

Georgia A. Evans, 78, of Nazareth, PA, formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away July 23, 2024 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg.

Born October 23, 1945, in Easton, PA, she was the daughter of the late George Ajhar and Helene McInerney Ajhar. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by a daughter, the late Jean Marie Evans.

Georgia loved time with her grandchildren as well as cooking and baking. She was a longtime employee of Dixie Cup/James River in Forks Township, where she worked in quality control.

Survivors are her husband, Joseph A. Cheszar, daughter Diana Marie Sanderson and husband Bradley, as well as grandchildren, Brianna and Blakely. Additionally, she is survived by a sister, Nora J. Suydam and husband Jim, and brothers, Joseph G. Ajhar and wife Patricia, and David L. Ajhar.

Services will be held at a later date and are under the direction of the Finegan Funeral Homes of Phillipsburg & Alpha.
