James “Jim” E. Ludwig

James “Jim” E. Ludwig, 89, of Lopatcong Township, NJ passed away on May 26, 2024 at St. Luke’s Warren Campus.

Born September 13, 1934, in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was the son of the late Royce and Mary Ludwig. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 41 years, Joyce Ludwig and brother, George Ludwig.

He was a 1953 graduate of Phillipsburg Catholic HS and had a long career at JT Baker Chemical in Phillipsburg. He was a veteran of the US Navy. His passions included fishing & hunting, trips to AC, working out at the gym, volunteering for many years with the PA Golden Gloves, and watching Phillipsburg HS sports. Jim was a member of Liberty Hose and the Cits.  He was a big Snoopy and Connie Smith fan.

He is survived by his step sons, Patrick Keyser and wife Susan, and Kevin Keyser.  A brother, John Ludwig and wife Fran. Grandchildren: Stephanie Wallbillich, Kimberly Cerrat, Patrick Keyser, Angela Brong, Mark Keyser.  Great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Additionally, he is survived by his brother-in-law, Benjamin Ervin and his beloved niece/Goddaughter, Kelly Bogoly.

He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.

A calling hour will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman Street in Phillipsburg, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am at the funeral home. The interment will be at St. Philip & James Cemetery in Greenwich Twp., NJ.
