Albert R. Crocker
Albert R. Crocker, 92, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on May 22, 2024 at the St. Luke’s Hospice in Bethlehem.
Born June 17, 1931 in Kintnersville, PA, he was the son of the late Edgar Crocker and Alice Tharp Crocker. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Albert R. Crocker Jr., and siblings Eleanor, Larry, Betty, and Harold.
He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean War. Albert was a longtime employee of Atlantic States in Phillipsburg, working as a superintendent of maintenance. An avid wood worker, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a Phillipsburg football and wrestling enthusiast. He coached Steele Hill football, baseball, and wrestling and was a Warren AA wrestling coach. Albert was a member of the Lincoln Fire Company for 63 years, of which 25 of those years was spent as the treasurer for the Fireman’s Relief Fund.
He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Elizabeth J. Rissmiller Crocker, and children; Deborah Hartman and husband Donald, David A. Crocker and wife Gail, and Kevin L. Crocker and companion Cindy. Grandchildren are Geoffrey Thorp, Audra Bishop, Mandy Crocker, Jason Crocker, David Crocker, and Tara Bilofsky. His great grandchildren are Trey, Julian, Gina, Jeffrey, Cora, Kenzie, Colton, Jayden, and Makenna.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday May 28, 2024 from 6-8 pm at the Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman Street in Phillipsburg, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. The interment will be at the Easton Heights Cemetery in Easton, PA.
