Thomas Scott Ferguson

Thomas Scott Ferguson, 72, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on December 23, 2025, at his home.

Born June 24, 1953, in Orange, NJ, he was the son of the late Thomas G. and Patricia Bradley Ferguson.

Scott was an attorney, practicing in the Phillipsburg area, and opening his own practice after several years with D. Scott Curzi. He was a municipal attorney in Phillipsburg, Alpha, and Lopatcong Township, eventually going on to serve as the Warren County Prosecutor for 8 years. Scott was a member of both the New Jersey and Pennsylvania bar associations. He graduated from Villanova University in 1975 and the University of Toledo College of Law in 1978. He was a fan of Villanova sports and the Philadelphia Eagles. He enjoyed swimming, cross country, and wrestled at Phillipsburg High School, where he was a graduate of the Class of 1971. He was an avid Phillipsburg sports fan to the day of his passing. One of his proud accomplishments was coaching his son Ryan in youth sports.

Survivors are his wife, Glenna Campbell Ferguson, and son, Ryan Ferguson. Additionally, he is survived by brothers, Stewart, Kevin, and Chris, as well as nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 5-7 pm at the Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman Street in Phillipsburg. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. The interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Harmony Township, NJ.
