Shirley Onuschak

Shirley Onuschak, 80, Of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on May 14, 2025 at Lopatcong Care Center.

She was born on July 28, 1944 in Dover, NJ, a daughter of the late Charles and Edna Mae Goldsworthy Johnson. Shirley worked for Alternatives as a support specialist and also for AREA Lighting in Hackettstown, NJ for 26 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond who passed away in 2005, along with her children, William C. Mills, Jr, who passed away in 2012 and Mary R. Mills who passed away in 2007.

She is survived by her son, Charles Ort of Newark, NJ, her siblings, Jeannette Nuss of Toms River, NJ, and Barbara McGraph of Roxbury, NJ, along with 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A calling hour will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025 from 10 to 11 AM at The Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St., Phillipsburg, NJ, followed by a service at 11 AM in the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Greenwich Cemetery, Greenwich Twp., NJ.
