Charles Kolenda

Charles Kolenda, 68, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at his home.

Born February 13, 1956, in Manville, NJ, he was the son of the late Charles Kolenda and Stephanie Minarcik Kolenda.

He served in the US Navy in the Vietnam War. Charles was employed by the County of Warren in Belvidere, NJ, in the Department of Public Works. A member of the Bernadine – May American Legion Post, he was also a diehard New York Yankees fan.

Survivors are his wife, Marie Monto Kolenda, and daughters; Laureen Gilbert and husband Scott Sr., and Heather Mainhart and husband Mark. Also surviving are grandchildren; Raven Kolenda, Scotty Gilbert Jr., and Dylan Gilbert.

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 10 – 11 am at the Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman Street in Phillipsburg, with a funeral service beginning at 11 am at the funeral home. The interment will be at the Northampton Memorial Shrine in Palmer Township, PA.
