James L. Bramick
James L. Bramick, 80, of Milford, NJ, passed away on March 31st, 2026, in Lopatcong Township, NJ.
Born February 21, 1946, in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was the son of the late John Bramick and Eleanor Hicks Bramick. He was also predeceased by his first wife, the late Carol Karch Bramick, as well as brother John Bramick and sister Barbara Trapp.
Jim was a graduate of both Phillipsburg High School and Lafayette College and spent 30 years at Bethlehem Steel as an electrical engineer. He enjoyed traveling, golf, and playing cards with friends who became known as “the can.” He was very active at his parish of St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church in Phillipsburg where he served as a lector, acolyte, CCD instructor, and Eucharistic Minister at many of the local nursing homes. Jim was also the president of the Serra Club, which promotes vocations to the priesthood, for many years.
Survivors are his wife, Ellen M. Serrone, and nephews; Steven Peterson and his wife Beth, of Greenville, SC, and Gregory Peterson of Allentown, PA, as well as niece, Susan Rich and husband Walter, of Lebanon Township, NJ, and brother-in-law, Norman Trapp.
A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 6 – 7 pm at the Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman Street in Phillipsburg, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 am at St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church, 430 South Main Street in Phillipsburg. The interment will be at the Greenwich Cemetery in Greenwich Township, NJ.
