Anna Mae Bowman

Anna Mae Bowman, 85, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on February 8, 2025.

Born January 18, 1940, she was the daughter of Robert Hoffner and Pearl Houseworth Hoffner. She was raised by Charles and Emma VanNortwick. Anna Mae was predeceased by her husband, James E. Bowman, Sr.

Mrs. Bowman was an active, long-time member of Grace Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed working in her yard.

She is survived by her children, daughter Carole A. Barela and her husband, Michael and son James E. Bowman, Jr. and his wife, Cynthia. Grandchildren are Catherine Jewell and husband, Justin, and James E. Bowman, III and wife, Colleen. Great grandchildren are Ellisyn Jewell, Jameson Bowman, and Paxton Bowman. Anna Mae was also predeceased by a daughter, Nancy E. Bowman.
