William S. Nagy

 

William S. Nagy, 86, of Alpha, NJ, passed away on November 22, 2020, at his home.  Born in Phillipsburg, NJ,  on March 28, 1934, he was the son of the late Eugene and Mary Gombesi Nagy. Bill was a self-employed linoleum and tile contractor for 50 years in the local area. He was also and avid hunter for most of his life and a member of the Fellowship Church in Lopatcong Twp., NJ.

Surviving is his wife, Agnes I. Walz Nagy. They would have celebrated 66 years of marriage on November 27th. Also surviving are his daughters Susan M. Gardner and her husband Ed; Linda S. Brousseau and her husband Dennis; and Patricia A. McGovern her husband Patrick. His grandchildren are Shannon, Lindsay, Derek, Alyssa, Ryan, Brendan and Tanya. Three great-grandchildren also survive. Bill was predeceased by 8 brothers. Funeral services and interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fellowship Church, 300 Cromwell Street, Phillipsburg, NJ, 08865. The Finegan Funeral Home, in Alpha, NJ, is handling the arrangements.
