William E. Wismer

Born April 3, 1938, in Stewartsville, NJ, he was the son of the late Edward Wismer and Roberta Rush Wismer. He was also predeceased by his wife, Marianne F. Fleming Wismer, who passed in 2018.

Mr. Wismer was the owner and operator of Penn Jersey Paving. He served in the National Guard and was a member of St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church and the NRA. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an enthusiastic fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. Bill had also coached various little league sports.

He is survived by his children: Tara Heckel and husband John, of Forks Township, PA, and Todd Wismer and wife MaryEllen, of Stroudsburg, PA. His grandchildren are John, Joseph and Samantha Heckel and Tyler and Logan Wismer. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Wismer was also predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Turner.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at the Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman Street from 2-4 & 6-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:00am at St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church, 430 So. Main Street, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865. The entombment will be at Holy Apostles Mausoleum in Greenwich Township, NJ. Current State of New Jersey restrictions will be in place at both the calling hours and church.
