Born on September 7, 1948 in Newton, NJ, he was the son of the late Ellwood and Frances Rude Ryker.
Bill was employed by the Stillwater Twp. Road Department, as a supervisor. He was a United States Marine, serving in the Vietnam War.
Bill was an avid fisherman, hunter, just had a love for the outdoors. He loved his dogs, his gun collection, enjoyed spending time with his family, loved eating sweets and enjoyed his trips with his wife to Maine.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Barbara Ryker, Carol Green and Richard Ryker.
Bill is survived by his loving wife Gail Taylor Ryker, his children, William E, Ryker, Jr., and his wife Susan of Coopersburg, Pa., Sean Ryker and his wife Jennifer, of Long Island, NY, his step-children, Rechel Senger and her husband Bill of Pittstown, NJ, Brandi Stettler and her husband Erik of Holy Ridge, NC, and Beth Bruckman and her husband Dana of Harmony Twp., NJ. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brandon, Jenna, Chad and Brett Bruckman, Jonathan Stettler, Hannah, Peter, Ashley, Hailey and Emily Ryker.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 1PM to 3PM in The Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St. Phillipsburg, NJ, with a service to follow at 3PM.
