Warren Minchin Sr.

He was born on February 7th, 1931, in Martin’s Creek, PA.  He was the son of the late Harvey and Mary Helen Ott Minchin. He was preceded in death by his wife Florence Wagner Minchin in 2001.

Warren was a graduate of Easton High School Class of 1949 He served in the US Navy, on the USS Leyte  during the Korean War, . He and his late wife were the owner-operators  of Minchin’s Auto Body Shop for 40 years  in Phillipsburg. Many years ago he was a leader of the 4-H club. He was a member of the Bernadine-May American Legion Post and the Junior Order of United  American  Mechanics.

He is survived by his sons Brooks P. of Mentone, California, Timothy J., Harvey R. and wife Jeanette, and Thomas P. all of Phillipsburg, NJ.  His grandchildren are Sarah, Tara, Anna, Christopher, Patrick, Kirsten, Hannah, Catherine and Barbara; also 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.  He was also preceded in death by his son Warren Jr., grandson Zachary R., siblings Brooks P., Michael, Dallas O., John I., Audrey Vought, and a close family friend Barbara McHale.

Viewing hours will be held on Tuesday,  January 22, 2019, from 3 to 4 pm and 6 to 9 pm at The Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St., Phillipsburg, NJ. Funeral  Services will be held on Wednesday,  January 23, 2019, at 11 am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine in Palmer Twp.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bernadine-May American Legion Post #457, 321 Marshall St, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865.
