Born in Tatamy, PA on September 1, 1919, Ginny is the daughter of the late Bertha (Rinker) Allen and William Ernest Allen. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas J. Kelly, Jr. in 1990 along with brothers, Kenneth, Ernest and Ralph (Jack) Allen. Ginny is survived by her daughter, Karen Kelly Stratos and her husband, Emmanuel (Manny) Stratos of Phillipsburg, NJ. along with two nieces, Patricia Allen, Nancy Darwin and three nephews, Tom Ward, Richard Ward and Michael Allen. A graduate of Easton High School in 1938, Ginny started with Bell of Pennsylvania on March 20, 1939 as an operator and was promoted to supervisor, serving in Harrisburg during WWII. Later, she returned to Easton as a PBX Supervisor to industry, then transferred to Bell of New Jersey in the mid 1950’s. Retiring in 1977 after close to 37 years, she then served as an Administrative Assistant in her husband’s law practice until 1990. Through the years, Ginny served in numerous business and community groups such as past President, Treasurer and Secretary of the St Luke’s Warren Hospital Auxiliary; First woman Chairman of the Phillipsburg Area Red Cross; former member of the Lafayette College Woman’s Auxiliary and Easton-Phillipsburg Business Women’s Association; past member of the Phillipsburg Redevelopment Organization and Vice Chairman of the Phillipsburg Community Development Advisory Board; Class of 1938 Easton High School Reunion President & Secretary; and Earl Held’s all girl Band for eleven and a half years playing piano, bass fiddle and tuba. The family also recognizes the staff of Compassionate Care Hospice, Sparta, NJ for the home comfort, care and tenderness given to Ginny as well as family and friends for their prayers and support. Viewing hours will be Monday, November 26, 6-8PM, at the Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman Street, Phillipsburg, NJ, with an additional viewing hour on Tuesday, November 27, from 9:15-10:15 AM at the funeral home, followed by a Celebration of Life, 11AM service at Blessed Hope, Church of the Nazarene, 42 Mercer Street, Phillipsburg, NJ.
