Thomas “Tom” H. Graffin

He was a son of the late Charles W. and Anna M. (Davis) Graffin.

Tom enlisted into the Army shortly after graduation from Phillipsburg High School in 1963. Pvt Graffin was severely injured in a non-combat accident while serving in Germany in 1965. The incident permanently crippled him, but that did not keep him from venturing over the years and throughout the town, making many friends along the way with his iconic ‘peace sign’ hand gestures.

Tom is survived by sisters-in-law, Doris Graffin of Phillipsburg and Diane Vannorman of Nazareth and two aunts, Alice Davis of Villas, NJ and Louise Eldredge of Effort, PA. He was “Uncle Tom” to thirteen nieces and nephews (Denice, Virginia, Bob, Joe, Lori, Don, Teresa, Wanda, Rich, Steve, Scott, Bryan, and Jarett, and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Charles “Skip”, Donald Sr., and Richard Sr., as well as his nephew Ryan.

Private arrangements were made by Finegan Funeral Home of Phillipsburg and Thomas’ ashes will be interred alongside his parents in Phillipsburg Cemetery.
