Susan A. Mirenna

Susan A. Mirenna passed away peacefully on December 31, 2022.

She was born in Bethlehem, PA, on October 22, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Walter J. Young and Flossie Seifert Young.

She was a 1944 graduate of Nazareth Area High School, Churchman Business College and the Chicago School of Nursing. She retired from the office of L.D. Van der Veer, M.D. in 1989.

She was predeceased by her beloved first husband, William F. Skinner M.D., who passed away in 1959 and by her beloved second husband, Louis Mirenna, who passed away in 2017.

She is survived by her daughter Celeste Renaldo of Charlotte, NC and son William Skinner and wife Rita of Stroudsburg, PA. Grandchildren, Frank (Lisa) Skinner, Gretchen Skinner (Walter) Wirshup, Louis (Katherine) Skinner, Heather Mann, and Donald Renaldo, II. Susan had 11 great-grandchildren, William Mann, Henry Mann, Bradford Mann, Philip Renaldo, Carolina Renaldo, Wilson Renaldo, William Skinner, Owen Skinner, Vera Wirshup, Patrick Wirshup, and Adeline Wirshup.

She was very active in the local YRW (You are Welcome) organization for many years and previously served on the Board of the Children's Home of Easton. Many thanks to the wonderful care provided by the staff of Country Meadows, Bethlehem, St. Luke's Palliative Care of Bethlehem, and the office of Dr. Manu P. Vachhani.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023 from 10 AM to 12 Noon at the Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Palmer Twp., PA. Inurnment will follow in the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp., PA. Memorials may be made to the donor's charity of choice.
