He was the son of the late Stanley J. Krutsick, Sr. and the late Mary (Michalik) Krutsick.
He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Krutsick and her husband, Dana Pull, grandson, Dustin Curren of Huntington Beach, CA; siblings, Mary Ann Krutsick and her husband, Richard Posniak of Rome, PA, and Dr. Joseph T. Krutsick and his wife, Sharon (Lilly) Krutsick of Bethlehem, PA; niece, Caitlin Krutsick and her fiance, James Stickle, and nephew, Sean. He is also survived by former spouses, Carole Strunk of San Pedro, CA, and Paulette Smith of Huntington Beach, CA, Stephanie's mother. He was predeceased by his son, Dustin Krutsick.
Stan was born on June 25, 1950 in Easton, PA, and grew up in Phillipsburg, NJ. He graduated from Phillipsburg Catholic High School in 1968. He continued his education at University of Dayton, where he graduated in 1975 with a degree in electrical engineering. He was employed by Hughes Aircraft Corporation shortly after college. He retired in 2006 as an engineering fellow from Raytheon, with a distinguished career working on defense communication systems and intelligent systems. He received several patents and commendations for his innovations. He volunteered for many years at the Ocean Institute, Dana Point, CA, and served as a mast captain on a Tall Ship, the Brig "Pilgrim." Stan served in a volunteer capacity as vice president of the Bolsa Chica Land Trust to protect the wetlands and migratory bird habitats. He was passionate about nature and enjoyed sailing, diving, hiking and camping with his children and family. He will forever be remembered for his quick wit, joyous spirit, and kind heart. He was truly beloved by all who knew him, and leaves the world a better place for his being in it.
