Sandra Todaro Ference

Sandra Todaro Ference, 88, of Forks Township, PA, formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ and Stewartsville, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Renaissance Senior Living Center in Forks Township. She was born on May 13, 1932, in Phillipsburg, NJ, the youngest daughter of the late Salvatore and Carmella Franco Todaro.

She was a graduate of Saint Philip and Saint James Parochial High School, Phillipsburg, NJ class of 1950. She was employed several years in her sister’s business, Grace M Adamo Draperies in Phillipsburg, NJ.  She was proprietor of Creative Confections,Cakes for All Occasions and was known for her delicious made from scratch and beautifully decorated cakes. Sandra was also employed at Phillipsburg Five and Dime, Phillipsburg National Bank and Trust, Storm’s Flower Shop in Phillipsburg, NJ, and Ralph’s Furniture and Monarch Furniture Stores in Easton, PA.

Sandra was a life-long member of Saint Philip and Saint James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg NJ. She was a long time member of the church choir and a founding member of the Parish Players She was a member of the Charismatic Prayer Group of the former St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Easton, PA. Sandra was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Warren Hospital Auxiliary and a Warren Hospital volunteer. She was also a member of the Easton Musical Arts Chorus.

Sandra also enjoyed singing, reading, cooking and baking. There wasn’t a time when there wasn’t a freshly baked cake on a stand in the center of her kitchen table. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sandra was the widow of Thomas F. Ference, Sr., who passed away in January 1994 She is survived by her children, Marianina (Nina) and her husband Joseph Attinello of Forks Township, PA, Thomas F. Ference Jr. and his wife Chris of Easton, PA and Lisa and her husband John Merhi of Gaithersburg, MD.  She was a proud and loving Nana to four grandchildren: Adam Attinello and his wife Cristina, Rachel Attinello, Melissa Merhi and Michael Merhi; and Nani to three great-grandchildren: Alex, Nicky and Casey Attinello.  She is also survived by her brother, Joseph Todaro as well as many nieces, nephews,  great-nieces and great-nephews, all whom she loved dearly.

Sandra is preceded in death by three brothers, John, George and Charles Todaro and three sisters, Marian Manasseri, Grace Adamo and Jeanette Indorato.

Funeral services and interment will be held privately.
