Ruth Almira Wilson

Ruth Almira Wilson, 92, of Palmer Township, PA, formerly of Holland Township, NJ, peacefully traveled home for the holidays, on December 19, 2020.

Born on September 13, 1928, in Creamery, PA, she was the daughter of the late Isaiah and Mae (Rader) Gouldey. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Wilson, in 2007.

Ruth's main career was a  homemaker, as she spent a majority of her life raising her children and helping care for others. She loved to people watch and was a strong, feisty, and independent woman, who loved being able to live on her own.  She would light up whenever her grandchildren and great grandchildren would visit and loved to race Hot Wheels on the kitchen table and spend countless hours giggling with them. She also tickled backs better than anyone else!

Ruth is survived by her daughters; Linda Frankenfield, Barbara Woeppel, Nancy Hummer, Debbie Kelly, Bev Stettler and their spouses, and her siblings; Gladys France, Ethel Bishop and Kenny Gouldey. Ruth was also a beloved Mom-Mom to her 6 granddaughters, 5 great-grandsons, 2 great-granddaughters, and 1 great-great-granddaughter.  In addition to her husband and her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her siblings; Mildred Bishop, Donald Gouldey, Wesley Gouldey, and Merrill Gouldey. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Finegan Funeral Home.
