Robert M. Apgar

Bob was born on April 30, 1949 in Phillipsburg, NJ, to Albert and Loretta (Snyder) Apgar.

He received his degree in engineering from Spring Garden College in Philadelphia in 1971, and retired in 2005 after a 33-year career with Air Products and Chemicals.

On April 22, 1972, he married the love of his life, Donna Lou Gretta. They raised two sons, Sean and Rob, and daughter, Jessica. Bob was the backbone of the Apgar family.

A thoughtful, deliberate, and resolute presence. He was an avid music lover and a heck of a dancer. He could reliably be found tinkering in his spotless garage. He could fix anything. An occasional fisherman, and a forever friend. An only child with so many "brothers."
He was immensely proud of his family and cherished time spent with his grandkids. He was known for his quick wit, his smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Al.

He is survived by his mother, Loretta; his wife, Donna, and three children, Sean, Jessica, and Robert, their spouses, Sarah, David, and Megan, and five beloved grandchildren, Margaret, Sadie, Anthony, Soren and Greta.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, Nov. 25, 2019 from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Palmer Twp., PA. There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019 at the funeral home.
