Robert J. Skinner

Born June 23, 1941, in Phillipsburg, he was the son of the late John Earl Skinner Jr. and Margaret McDonald Skinner. He was also predeceased by his wife, Maria Szabo Skinner, and a son, Brian Skinner.

Robert was employed for 38 years at Ingersoll Rand in Phillipsburg as a core maker, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Safety First Fire Company and the Concordia Maennerchor. Mr. Skinner is a former wrestling coach and was an enthusiastic fan of the New York Yankees, Penn State Football, and the New York Jets.

He is survived by children: Michelle Donatelli of Forks Township, Robert Skinner of Harmony Township, Kelly Morales of Georgia, and Frank Donatelli of Denver, PA. Grandchildren are Gabriella Lawver, Schyler Morales, Nicole Donatelli, and Natalie Donatelli. Additionally, Mr. Skinner is survived by sisters: Margaret Uvary, Jean Talpas, and Ruth Ervin, all of Phillipsburg, and a brother, John Skinner of Wilson Borough.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 17, 2020, from 6-8 pm at the Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman Street in Phillipsburg, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am at St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church, 430 So. Main Street, also in Phillipsburg.
