Richard J. Lynch

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Joseph T. Lynch and Mary Xiques Lynch.

Mr. Lynch began his career as a mechanic with AMF and later established his own business reconditioning and rebuilding bowling alleys in 31 countries around the world. He served in the United States Marine Corps. Richard was a member of the Rotary Club in Basking Ridge, was a stock car racer, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and was a member of Cusillio at St. James Catholic Church in Basking Ridge.

Survivors are his wife, Janet Murray Lynch, and children; Jeffrey R. Lynch, Suzan Lynch Gillis, and Diana Lynch Hickey. Grandchildren are Caroline, Timothy, and James Gillis, Kate and Maggie Hickey, and Erin and Jeffrey Lynch. Also surviving is a brother, Joseph T. Lynch and wife Jane, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 16, 2019, from 3-6pm at the Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman Street in Phillipsburg, N.J. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10:00am at St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church, 430 S. Main Street in Phillipsburg, N.J. The interment will be at Moravian Cemetery in Staten Island, N.Y.
